WindowsプロジェクトでTypeScript環境構築

Windows 10のプロジェクトにTypeScriptの開発環境を構築してみます。

WindowsにはNode.jsがインストール済みであることを前提とします。
WindowsでNode.js、gulp.jsをインストールして効率よい開発環境を目指す(準備編)

インストール

コマンドプロンプトを開き、npmコマンドでTypeScriptをインストールします。

> npm install -g typescript

インストール完了後、以下のコマンドでバージョンが表示されれば、インストール成功です。

> tsc -v
Version 4.6.4

tsファイルをコンパイル

任意のTypeScriptファイル「script.ts」を用意します。今回はtsファイルの中身については割愛します。
以下のコマンドを実行すると、tsファイルがコンパイルされ、ファイル「script.js」が出力されます。

> tsc script.ts

tsconfig.jsonの設定

tscコマンドはさまざまなオプションが指定可能です。オプションは複雑で、私もまだ十分に理解できていないのですが、設定ファイル「tsconfig.json」を利用すると、毎回長いコマンドを入力する必要がなくなるので便利です。
「tsconfig.json」を用意したディレクトリでコンパイルを実行すると、その内容を自動で読み込んでくれます。
ルートでなくても以下のようにjsonファイルを指定する事も可能です。

> tsc -p config/tsconfig.json script.ts

また、ファイル「tsconfig.json」は、「–init」でひな形を生成する事ができます。

> tsc --init
